Alameda

This project started with a portrait of a woman found at a local vendor. The colors within became part of the overall scheme for this primary bedroom and bathroom.  The goal for the bedroom was that it would feel both light and happy, but cozy with rich luxurious colors.

The goal for the primary bath was similar. Formerly it had been a dark awkward space with a door to the main bedroom and a door to the hallway.  We removed the door to the hallway and took out one wall of the shower to allow more of the natural light in.  We added white subway tile around the shower and bathtub for a timeless look. Inspired by the portrait in the bedroom we painted the vanity a rich wine color and had café curtains made in an iconic Lee Jofa spice and berry colored fabric. The whole effect creates a hotel-like escape
